Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Payette, ID
This event takes place on September 12, 2026 at 400 N Iowa Avenue, Payette, ID 83661. It honors a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 and recognizes those who died on that day while supporting first responders and military service members.
The distance is 5K; because the route includes a memorial loop, the course may not measure exactly 3.1 miles. Water is provided at the finish. An Emergency Medical Service team and radio communication will be available on site.
Registration is offered in several categories with fees listed by the organizer: adult, first responders and military, youth (13 to 17 years), and child (12 and under). Day of registration is permitted; online registration is more likely to guarantee a shirt and a chipped bib. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising goals. Donations to teams and individuals are accepted for six weeks after the event.
Participants must display their bib on the front of the outermost garment; those without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish. Runners predicting a pace faster than six minute per mile will be seeded in the front corral. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are permitted. Packet pickup may be completed by another person who presents the registrant's receipt. Registration is transferable but refunds are not provided.
