Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Bluffton
This event in Bluffton, South Carolina is the sixth Tunnel to Towers 5K held in the community. The 5K (3.1 miles) is presented to honor first responders, remember September 11, 2001, and raise funds for Tunnel to Towers programs. The event will be timed and awards will be given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers.
Packet pickup is available at Palmetto Running Company, 25 Minetta Lane Suite 102, Bluffton, SC, on Saturday, November 7 from 12pm to 4pm. Shirts and sizes are not guaranteed and are distributed first come, first serve.
Registration categories and published fees include adult registration at $25, first responders and military at $20, youth ages 13 to 17 at $10, and children 12 and under at $5. Day of registration increases by $5 and participants registering on race day will not be timed. Registrants not registered by October 25 may not receive a shirt. Registrations not completed by 11:59pm on Thursday November 5 will not be timed.
Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment. A water station will be located at the halfway mark. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted. Emergency medical services and radio communication will be available on site. Registration fees do not count toward fundraising totals. Donations will be accepted for six weeks after the event. No refunds are provided; registrations may be transferred to another person.
