Event Overview
The Tucson Track Club Classic is a track meet held on a Saturday in March. It is the first public track meet organized by the Tucson Track Club and welcomes all participants. The event offers three distances on the track.
Distances
The event includes the following races:
- Kids 800m Dash - This event is free.
- 1 mile
- 5000m (5K)
Event Format
All races will use projected finish times to seed participants, with multiple heats for each event to keep the competition balanced. Final heat assignments will be posted on the day of the event.
Venue and Parking
The meet takes place at the track of Salpointe Catholic High School, located at 1545 E Copper St in Tucson, Arizona. Parking is available in a lot located south of the track. Attendees enter the campus via a gate on Mountain Avenue, between Glenn and Copper streets, south of the stadium. The parking lot is on the right upon entering.
Participant Guidelines
Athletes are advised not to arrive before 6:00 PM. Warm-up is permitted on the inner field or on the streets around the school, but not on the stadium field or ball fields. The use of headphones during races is prohibited. Spectators are welcome free of charge. An automatic timing service will be used for results.
