Race details
The Shamrock’n Race uses staggered starts and the courses for the 7 Mile and Half Marathon circle the lake clockwise. The event is held twice a year at Burnaby Lake, with the Rubber Ducky race in October running the same distances counterclockwise. The course is open for three hours and closes around midday. Awards are presented for the top three finishers in each distance once results are confirmed. Bag check is available by donation at the charity table near the start/finish.
Registration and timing
Online registration is available and closes one week before race day or when the supply cap is reached. Walk-in and in-person registration is available during package pickup, with cash or cheque accepted for walk-in. The event is tag timed; participants must attach the timing tag to their shoe and keep the bib visible. Results are intended to be posted within 24 hours. Start/finish location is at the intersection of Joe Sakic Way and Sperling Ave, Burnaby, BC. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
