Event Overview
The TRUSS Wines 5k Wine Run is a cross country style running event held in Paso Robles, California. Participants follow a path through the landscape of the TRUSS Winery. The event includes a timed 5 km course that is open to both runners and walkers. Participants under the age of 21 are permitted to join the event with a registration that excludes alcohol-related items.
Course Details
The route consists of a two lap cross country style course. Because the event takes place on winery grounds, the surface includes uneven ground. Strollers are permitted but participants should be aware of the terrain before choosing to use them. For safety and USDA regulations regarding the farm property, dogs are not allowed on the site.
Participation and Awards
The race is chip-timed, and results are posted online following the conclusion of the event. Recognition is provided for top performers in various categories. The top three finishers in each age group receive custom awards. These categories are divided into 10 year increments, ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over.
Registered participants receive several items as part of their entry:
- A soft ring-spun cotton T-shirt
- A shatterproof, collapsible, and portable wine glass
- A finisher medal
- A race bib with timing chip
- A pour of wine for participants of legal age
