The True to the Brew 5K is a running and walking event. It takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Course Details
The 5K distance follows an urban trail course along the Capital City Passage of the Palmetto Trail in downtown Columbia. The course is new for this event. It starts and finishes near the Palmetto Trail office at 722 King Street.
Event Features
The event includes a finish line celebration at the Palmetto Trail Headquarters. This features live music, complimentary beer from Craft & Draft, and a cookout. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Craft & Draft on Devine Street, where a free beer is offered with a race bib. Parking on race day is available at the Bethel AME Church parking lot on Woodrow Street.
Registration and Logistics
Registration for the event is capped at 500 participants. Teams of five or more receive a discount on individual registration. The event is held rain or shine, and strollers and leashed dogs are permitted. All finishers receive a custom bottle opener medal. A long-sleeve race shirt is guaranteed for those who register by a specific date.
