Event overview
The Ugly Sweater 5K takes place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at Gills Creek Memorial Park in Columbia, SC 29206. The event program includes a 5K race and a Best Dressed Pet entry. Logistics and race details
The race will be officially timed by Charlestowne Road Race Services. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet Forest Acres, 4525 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29206, or on race day between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. near Gills Creek Memorial Park. Registration for the Best Dressed Pet entry ends December 11, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. EST. The 5K price increases after April 13, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. EDT. Awards will be presented to top finishers, to the participant with the “ugliest” outfit, and to the best dressed pet; a holiday themed awards celebration is planned after the race.
