Event overview
The Ugly Sweater 5K takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Columbia, SC at Gills Creek Memorial Park, 24 Forest Lake Place, Columbia, SC 29206. The event includes a 5K run and a separate Best Dressed Pet event. Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K and $5 for the Best Dressed Pet.
The race will be officially timed by Charlestowne Road Race Services and the course will be certified. Proceeds and donations benefit Friends of the Met CAC, a nonprofit that supports the Metropolitan Children’s Advocacy Center. The Met CAC provides services to children who are suspected victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and other types of maltreatment.
Logistics and additional details
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at Fleet Feet Forest Acres, 4525 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29206, and will also be available near Gills Creek Memorial Park on race day. A holiday themed awards celebration will follow the event, with awards that include an ugliest holiday sweater prize for pets. A course map PDF is available for download.
