True Grit Sydney - June 27, 2026
True Grit Sydney is a military inspired obstacle event held at Dragle Farm in Lower Portland, near Sydney. The course is integrated into natural terrain and moves through grassland, rainforest, muddy swamps and cliffs. A riverside festival area beside the course provides music, food and drinks.
Participants choose from multiple course distances:
- 15 km Elite with timed competition and podium prizes for top three male and female finishers.
- 15 km (new).
- 10 km.
- 5 km.
Minimum ages: 16 years for the 10 km and 15 km options and 12 years for the 5 km. The Elite wave is the only timed race; Elite competitors must attempt every obstacle and incur a 20 burpee penalty for each failed or missed obstacle. The event records top finish times for ranking purposes. Teams of any size are permitted and groups of 10 or more may access team deals including free tickets and discounts.
On site facilities include on site camping in Gold, Silver or Bronze options, toilets and showers, medical support and at least one water station typically near halfway on course. Spectators enter free and parking is available for a fee. Finishers receive a t-shirt and an electrolyte drink. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
