Trident Grantham Triathlon
The Trident Grantham Triathlon is a classic sprint multi-sport event held in Lincolnshire. Based at the Grantham Meres Leisure Centre, the race utilizes a pool-based swim before transitioning to the scenic outdoors. The event provides a fully supported environment with on-course marshals and aid stations to assist participants throughout the duration of the competition.
The course is designed with multiple loops, making it accessible for spectators to follow the progress of the athletes. The bike section consists of a 3 loop course through the surrounding area, while the run segment follows a 2 loop path. Each participant receives a commemorative medal upon completion of their race.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- Sprint Triathlon (Solo or Team): A 400m pool swim followed by a 24km bike ride and a 5km run.
- Sprint Aquabike (Solo): A 400m pool swim followed by a 24km bike ride.
The event is open to individuals aged 17 and over. It serves as a re-launch of a long-standing local tradition in Grantham, now managed by Trident Sports Events.
