Tricky Trout Triathlon : event overview
The Tricky Trout Triathlon takes place on July 25, 2026 and is organized by the Hayward Curling Club. Proceeds from the race benefit the club.
Participants can enter in three race classes: solo competitors, tandem teams of two, and relay teams of two or three. Tandem teams paddle together and combine their run and bike times. In relay teams each person completes one leg; if a relay has two members, one person may complete two legs.
This edition introduces staggered paddle start times every 30 seconds. The run course follows trail and road sections and includes shaded portions. An after party at the Hayward Curling Club will feature food and beverages.
Age eligibility has been expanded to include ages 12 to 18. Competitors who are under 14 on the event date must race as part of a tandem team with a teammate over age 18. Registration includes a Tricky Trout Logo Dry-Bag.
