Event details
The Trick or Trot is a trail run/walk at Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This is the sixth annual edition and has a Halloween theme; costumes are encouraged. The event uses the Dunes trails and offers two distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km (two laps of the 5 km course)
The event is described as family-friendly and includes a finisher medal and a snack bag for each finisher.
Registration and logistics
Registration is online only. Entry fees listed are: 5 km Adults (18+) $45, 5 km Youth (17 and under) $25; 10 km Adults $55, 10 km Youth $30. A tech T-shirt is available as an optional add-on for $27; the T-shirt add-on is available only until Wednesday, October 8. Registrations received by Friday, October 10 will receive personalized race bibs. All race entries are non-refundable; entries may be transferred to another racer prior to October 23.
Package pickup is scheduled before the event at Ernies Sports Experts and there is an out-of-town pickup at The Dunes Golf & Winter Club on race day. A multiweek group training program is scheduled in the weeks before the race with sessions on September 28, October 5, October 11, and October 19.
