About the race
Roots & Ruts is the 12th annual trail race held at Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park in Grande Prairie, Alberta, at South Bear Creek’s Waxwing Trails. The event features three race distances: 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km, with options to run or walk and accommodate varying fitness levels. After the race, participants enjoy a chili dinner and refreshments, with awards for the top finishers in each distance and a new finisher medal.
