Athletes receive a race packet containing a swim cap, which is color-coded to indicate swim start position and must be worn during the swim. All athletes will be body-marked with their race number and age. The transition area uses numbered bike racks; athletes must place their bike in the rack corresponding to their race number.

Course Information

The triathlon consists of a 1,500 meter swim, a 22.6 mile bike ride, and a 6.2 mile run. The swim is a two-lap, triangular course starting and finishing at a shoreline marked by signs. A time-trial start is used, with athletes starting every five seconds in race number order. The wetsuit ruling depends on the race day water temperature.

The bike course uses paved county roads outside the state park and is an out-and-back loop. It is open to traffic and is marked with directional signs, mile markers, and monitored by race personnel and Sheriff's officers. The run course is a two-lap route totaling 6.2 miles. It begins on a trail and continues on paved park roads. Water stations are provided at each mile.

The duathlon starts with a 3.1 mile run, followed by the same 22.6 mile bike course as the triathlon, and finishes with the same 6.2 mile two-lap run. The aquabike event consists of the same 1,500 meter swim and 22.6 mile bike course as the triathlon, finishing directly after the bike leg. Aquabike participants receive a green wristband to distinguish them at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
