Tri The Illini
Tri The Illini is a sprint triathlon held on September 27, 2026, at the Activities and Recreation Center on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign, IL. The event uses the ARC for swim facilities and for the race start and finish locations.
The event course includes three consecutive legs:
- 300 m pool swim in a 50 meter outdoor pool
- 14 mile fast and flat bike course
- 5k run through the UIUC campus
Categories and published entry fees include individual, collegiate, and relay divisions with fees listed for each division. Registration opens on June 1, 2026, and all entries must be completed by 11:59 PM Friday, September 25, 2026, to be eligible to race. To be guaranteed a race shirt, entrants must register by September 12; otherwise shirts are distributed at packet pickup on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 in Savoy and the morning of the race at ARC Gym 3. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and follows USAT rules.
