About the race
Tri Santa Cruz is a multisport event held on 08/08/2027 at 119 Center Street, Santa Cruz, CA. The program includes multiple race formats on the same day, with swim, bike, and run options across a range of distances and formats. The swim takes place in the protected waters of Monterey Bay. The bike and run courses run along the Santa Cruz coastline, and the bike course is completely closed to vehicle traffic.
Participants receive a custom race T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a post-race lunch. Awards are presented to top overall and age-group finishers in eligible events. The event features special categories and pricing: - Family & Friends Sprint wave open to participants regardless of age or gender, not eligible for age-group prizes - Clydesdale and Athena categories with USAT weight requirements; awards to top 3 in each gender - Youth and senior pricing for ages 12 to 17 and 70 plus - Triathlon club discounts available Event types and notable distances include: - Sprint and International (Olympic) distance triathlons - Super Sprint Triathlon - Aquabike and Aquathlon - Duathlon including a 5K run, multi loop bike, and 5K run format - Open water swims of 750 meters and 1.5 kilometers - 5K and 10K runs.
