Tri Santa Cruz takes place on Sunday, August 9, 2026 in Santa Cruz, California (119 Center Street). The programme includes sprint and international (Olympic) distance triathlons plus related events: aquabike, aquathlon, duathlon, super sprint and relay options. A non-competitive Family & Friends wave is offered for participants who want to race together regardless of age or gender. Special youth and senior pricing applies for individual distances; a relay discount for all-youth or all-senior teams is available. Triathlon club discounts are also offered.

Categories and course details
Event categories include Clydesdale and Athena divisions, paratriathlon, relay teams, aquabike and aquathlon. The swim course is described as sheltered; the bike and run courses are flat and follow the coastline. The bike course is planned as a closed course pending approval. Duathlons and the 5k run start at the Depot Park finish line. Age for wave placement is determined as of December 31, 2025; wave assignments may be adjusted by lifeguards for weather or ocean conditions.
Packet pickup and awards
Packet pickup is at Depot Park on the day before the race and on race day at the Depot Building. Registrants receive a finisher medal, a custom t-shirt, post-race lunch and awards.
