The -TRI Columbus is a multisport athletics event held in Columbus, Indiana. Located within the Tipton Lakes neighborhood, the venue is situated approximately eight minutes from the I-65 Columbus/Bloomington exit. This event was brought back by the Columbus Running Club and was previously known as the Columbus Challenge Triathlon.
Participants can choose from several categories and formats, including individual and team options. The triathlon consists of a 500m swim in Tipton Lakes featuring a time trial start, followed by a 13.5 mile bike segment through the countryside, and finishes with a 5k run. The duathlon format includes a 5k run, a 13.5 mile bike segment, and a second 5k run.
