TRI Columbus
TRI Columbus takes place in Columbus, Indiana, in the Tipton Lakes neighborhood at 6000 Tipton Lakes Blvd. The event was formerly known as the Columbus Challenge Triathlon, which ended in 2018; the Columbus Running Club restarted the event.
The program includes individual sprint triathlon and duathlon formats, a Clydesdale/Athena division, and team divisions (male, female, coed). The sprint triathlon uses a time trial swim start in Tipton Lakes followed by a bike course through country roads and a final 5k run. The duathlon follows a run-bike-run sequence.

- 500 m swim
- 13.5 mile bike
- 5k run
The Clydesdale/Athena division has minimum weight requirements: men 220 pounds or more, women 165 pounds or more. Registration opens January 12, 2026 and closes July 17, 2026. Entry fees shown for event categories include $65 for individual sprint events and $40 for team divisions.
The venue is located near the I-65 Columbus/Bloomington exit. Organizers note that spectators are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
