Grandview 13.1 & 5k
The Grandview running event takes place in Columbus, Indiana, with the start and finish lines located at the Columbus Youth Camp. The races are conducted entirely on paved county roads and involve significant elevation changes throughout the courses.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 5 km
The 13.1 Miles course begins at the Columbus Youth Camp and features an initial descent of 250 feet over 1.9 miles along Wolf Creek. After reaching a turnaround point, the route returns up the hill to the starting area. The course then descends 200 feet over 0.75 miles toward Grandview Lake. Runners follow the road around the lake, which consists of rolling hills, before climbing back up the hill to return to the finish line at the youth camp.
The 5 km race also starts and finishes at the Columbus Youth Camp. This shorter distance includes the same 250-foot and 200-foot descents and subsequent climbs found in the longer race. Both distances utilize the paved surface of the local county road network. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
