Trauma Survivors Celebration 5K/1 Mile

The Trauma Survivors Celebration 5K/1 Mile takes place on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan. This event is designed as a celebration of strength and courage for individuals who have overcome traumatic injuries. Participants can choose between two main distances along the scenic grounds of the island:

  • 5K
  • 1 Mile

The course offers views of the Detroit River and a peaceful atmosphere for running, walking, or rolling. The event provides a space for survivors, their families, and healthcare providers to connect and share support. The schedule includes a welcome ceremony with the national anthem and an awards presentation following the main events.

Recognition is given to the overall male and female winners, as well as masters winners. Age group awards are also presented for participants across various brackets starting from 15 and under up to 70 and above. There is a specific portion of the program dedicated to survivor recognition and team shoutouts. Packet pickup is available on the morning of the event at the venue.
