Train to Trails Half Marathon and 5K
This event, produced by Eastside Racing Company and Move It Fitness, features a point to point half marathon and an out and back 5K on the Southern Link Trailway. Distances offered:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
The half marathon and half marathon ruck start in Millington at the Millington Library and finish at the Columbiaville Community Center. The 5K starts and finishes at the Columbiaville Community Center. The trailway is paved and travels through wooded areas and farmland, with a crossing over the Flint River.
The event is cupless. Participants must carry a personal hydration pack or purchase a Hydrapak Speedcup during registration. Aid stations on course can refill personal hydration packs and bottles with water or hydration mix. Shuttle service is provided from the finish area to the half marathon start; shuttles depart when full.
Entry fees include a gender specific tech shirt or tank, aid stations, a finisher medal, photos, after race food and music, and transportation to the half marathon start. The ruck division receives a completion patch. There is no relay in 2026. Official course closure requires half marathon runners and ruckers to maintain a pace faster than 19 minutes per mile.
Packet pickup takes place at the Columbiaville Community Center on the weekend of the event. The event partners with Neighbors United, a nonprofit supporting firefighters and their families affected by cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
