Trails To the Sky 50k/10k - Voorhees State Park, May 16, 2026
This event stages trail races at Voorhees State Park in Hunterdon County, New Jersey on May 16, 2026. Two distances are offered:
- 50k: five laps, roughly 4500 ft of elevation gain
- 10k: roughly 900 ft of elevation gain
The 50k is an UTMB Index race. The course passes the park observatory that houses one of the largest private telescopes in New Jersey. The 50k uses a multi-lap format with a designated athlete set up area near the finish where runners can access belongings between loops. Space for personal ezup tents is available on a first come first served basis and additional shared tents are provided for minimal storage.
Trails will be marked with yellow arrow signs and small orange lawn flags at turns. Porta potties are located just off the course after lap entries for 50k runners. Aid stations are sited at mile 3 and at the loop start/finish; supplies include Skratch Electrolytes, Skratch Chews, water, soda, fruit, and a variety of snacks. Timing is recorded using the Ultrasignup app and bib numbers must be visible for lap and finish recording. All finishers receive a custom medal and the top three male and female finishers receive custom awards.
Course conditions are currently dry with some wet spots and potential for mud, so participants should plan footwear and socks accordingly. Parking is located near the finish with additional parking areas noted on the course map. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
