Trail Night NJ
Trail Night NJ takes place on July 8, 2026, at South Mountain Reservation, 374 Walker Rd, West Orange, NJ 07052. The event centers on a single start and finish area with a DJ, vendors, and food trucks.
The event program includes the following race distances:
- Kids 1 Mile: short low pressure race
- 5K Trail Race: flowing trail course with a 100 minute cutoff
All registered participants receive a Trail Night NJ premium cotton blend tee. The top three finishers in each age group receive a Trail Night pint glass.
Parking options are provided and include Turtle Back Rock Parking Lot with approximately 125 to 150 spots, residential parking on Maple Ave and Knollwood Drive located about 0.2 and 0.3 miles from the start, and an Uber and rideshare dropoff at 374 Walker Road.
Registration opens April 17, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026. Published registration fees are $15.00 for the kids one mile and $35.00 for the 5K.
The event uses a central hub at the start and finish to keep logistics simple and to allow participants to stay in one area before and after their races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
