Tracksmith NYC Marathon Weekend
The weekend centers on the New York City marathon and related events in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The marathon course runs through the five boroughs with sections noted from Brooklyn to 1st Avenue and Central Park, accompanied by lively crowd support.
Pop up locations for the weekend are The Brooklyn Circus at 361 Canal Street in Manhattan and the Brooklyn Trackhouse at 147 Wythe Ave. The program includes a capsule launch party, a live podcast evening focused on women and femme leaders in the running community, a pre race shakeout run, and multiple post race poster stamping opportunities.
A capsule launch party features a short conversation with the founder of the Brooklyn Circus, light bites, drinks, and music. Attendance at some evening events requires RSVP because capacity is limited. The live Hurdle podcast evening honors women and femme leaders in New York City running and includes a raffle for two Movemint race entries, charcuterie, craft drinks, and an aftertone telephone for guests to leave recorded messages.
A community shakeout run meets at The Brooklyn Circus for a leisurely 5k and is followed by post run shopping plus recovery refreshments from Skratch and coffee from Nespresso; this run does not include bag check. Post race poster stamping is offered at The Brooklyn Circus, the Brooklyn Trackhouse, and at The Envoy on the Upper West Side near Grand Bazaar at 77th Street and Columbus Avenue while supplies last.
