Track 10,000m & Mile Races
City Runs stages track races at Exeter Arena, Exhibition Field, Summer Lane, Exeter on 24 June 2026. The programme includes graded 10,000 metre and mile races plus additional mile races for club and unattached runners.
- 10,000m
- Westcountry Mile
- Always Moving Try The Track Mile
The 10,000m event serves as the Devon County AA 10,000m Championships and is organised as two graded races. Entry to graded races requires an England Athletics competitions licence; non Devon county entries are welcome. Races are run under UKA rules. Due to track time availability, the cut off for 10,000m entries is 55 minutes. There is a limit of 20 runners per 10,000m race.
Graded mile races, presented as the Westcountry Mile, are run under UKA rules and have a 16 runners per race limit. The Always Moving Try The Track Mile is aimed at club and unattached runners and will not be run under UKA rules; these races are therefore not eligible for Power 10 rankings and also have a 16 runners per race limit.
Ideally footwear should comply with World Athletics rules, with a maximum sole thickness of 25 mm; non conforming road shoes will be permitted if a runner has no alternative. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
