Town of Hempstead Triathlon
The Town of Hempstead Triathlon takes place on September 19, 2026 at Town Park at Point Lookout, 1300 Lido Blvd, Lido Beach, NY 11561. The event is open to adults aged 18 and older. Spectators are welcome.
Distances are:
- 1/2 mile ocean swim
- 6 mile bike
- 2 mile run
The course is three loops and the swim is ocean based and weather permitting. The biking and running courses are described as flat. Distances are approximate and subject to change.
Registration includes tiered pricing and discounts for residents and veterans. Fees are non refundable and non transferable. There are no race day sign ups. Registered athletes may receive a personalized bib if entered three weeks before race day. Shirts are available for pickup on race day on a first come first serve basis.
Equipment and safety requirements include provision of personal bike and running gear, a CPSC or Snell approved helmet for the bike leg, a personal water bottle for the bike leg, and a bright colored swim cap for the swim. Participants must be able to swim, bike and run the specified distances. A changing area is listed among amenities.
