Town of Hempstead Triathlon
The Town of Hempstead Triathlon at Town Park at Point Lookout is a single-day multisport event featuring an ocean swim, a bike leg, and a run. Distances are listed as approximate and the course is described as three loops and flat.

The event is for participants aged 18 and older. Each entrant must be in good physical condition and able to complete the swim, bike, and run distances. Priority for registration is given to Town of Hempstead residents. Registration fees are non-refundable; published pricing includes resident and veteran discounts and processing fees.
Equipment requirements include a brightly colored swim cap for all swimmers, a CPSC or Snell approved helmet for the bike leg, and personal biking and running gear. Participants should carry their own water bottle for the bike leg. Wetsuits are permitted for the swim; flotation devices and swim fins are not allowed.
Logistics notes: there are no race day sign-ups, spectators are welcome, and shirts are distributed on race day on a first come first serve basis. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, including brackets from 18-24 through 65 and over. Course details and rules are subject to change.
