Tour of Merseyside
The Tour of Merseyside runs as a weeklong series of races held across six venues in Merseyside. The event covers 52 miles spread over seven consecutive days. Each day features a race that differs in distance, location and terrain.
The original Tour concept began in the early 1980s as a Double Marathon style challenge and later evolved into the present multi-venue format. In 2025 organisers introduced a Club Team Challenge: teams of six, which must include male and female athletes, are ranked by their combined time to determine the winners.
Race 1 is scheduled at Rimrose Valley Country Park as part of the weeklong sequence of events. Entry for the full Tour is listed in the event offers at 150 GBP.
Event support includes bottled water provided along the course of each race and post-race snacks available at the finish. The programme emphasises a sequence of distinct races across multiple locations rather than a single continuous course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
