Course and Event Details
The race takes place at Shawnee Mission Park in Shawnee, Kansas, starting at Shelter 10. The course is marked with distinctive flagging. There is a 4-hour time limit to finish. Participants can expect water at an aid station and cold drinks and light snacks at the finish line. The event is cupless, so runners must provide their own hydration device.
Rules and Logistics
No poles are allowed, unless a participant has a medical exemption approved by the race director. Dogs are allowed on a leash, and owners must clean up after them. The use of personal music devices with headphones is permitted, but speakers are not allowed. The parks and roads remain open during the event.
Participants receive a sticker and a handmade finisher's award. Awards are given for the top three finishers in the women's, men's, and non-binary categories.
The event has a partnership with the Trail Mix Fund, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for race entry fees, particularly for individuals from the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities or those facing financial barriers.
