Tour de Trail: Shawnee Mission Park South
This event is a trail race organized by Team Sparkle at Shawnee Mission Park South in Shawnee, KS on November 14, 2026. The stage is part of the 2026 Tour de Trail series, a set of six trail events that are each roughly 10 km in length and will vary by trail and conditions. Distances for the series range from about 5.5 to 6.5 miles depending on the course.
Entry fees for singular races are listed at $50, with $5 of each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration options and alternate payment methods are offered at higher rates. Registrants receive a race specific sticker and a single piece of event swag. Athletes who complete all six stages of the series receive a special finishers award.
The course is marked with flagging and will be explained before the event. Timing is done with a clock and results are posted on UltraSignup. Aid on course is water only; the event is cupless so participants must provide their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest. Alternate courses may be used if trails are closed; these can include cross country, equestrian trails, paved trail or a combination.
Race rules include no littering which may lead to disqualification, no alcohol in the park, no poles except by approved medical exemption, dogs on leash with cleanup required, and following the marked course. Podiums are awarded first through third for woman, man, and non binary categories. All participants receive a handmade finishers award specific to the stage.
