Top of Zion National Parks Relay
The Top of Zion National Parks Relay takes place June 11 to June 13, 2026, with a base location in Torrey, Utah (2523 UT-24, Torrey, UT 84775). The event is organized as a series of team relays that run across Southern Utah through national park regions and backcountry terrain.
Race formats vary by distance and duration. Distances and formats include:
- 195 miles - Full or Ultra Relay, 2-day, Capitol Reef to Top of Zion
- 127 miles - Sleep Relay, 2-day, Capitol Reef to Top of Zion
- 60 miles - 1-Day Relay, Bryce Canyon Gateway to Top of Zion
- 36 miles - Mini Relay, 1-day, Cedar Mountain to Top of Zion
- 195 miles - 3-Day Odyssey Relay, 3-day, Capitol Reef to Top of Zion
Teams can be composed of 12, 6, 3, or 2 runners, and additional categories include student teams and half teams. The courses pass through varied terrain described as red cliffs, alpine forests, plains, and open night skies. The 3-Day Odyssey format spaces runs and rest over three days and lists opportunities to explore nearby park areas such as Zion, Bryce, and Grand Staircase.
