About the race
The Cytiva Top of Utah Marathon takes place in Logan, Utah on September 19, 2026. The event includes a marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K that start and finish in Historic Downtown Logan and route runners through Cache Valley, the Logan River Trail and Logan River Golf Course, passing wetland areas with views of the Cache National Forest and the Wellsville Mountain Range. The marathon course is a BQ course and the route has a grade at or near zero. The event is the USA Track & Field Utah Marathon Championship Race for 2026 with $5,200 in prize money allocated to the Top 3 Open male and female and the Top 3 Masters (40 and over) male and female.
It is also listed as a qualifier for selected larger championship events and as an Olympic Trials Marathon qualifier for Utah. Race headquarters and packet pickup are at Sol Speak Yoga, 60 West 100 North, Logan, on Friday, September 18 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Race day runner check-in and additional packet pickup are at KW Unite, 33 North Main Street, on race morning. All runner packets include a bib with RFID timing chip, pins, and an official race shirt. Support on course includes multiple aid stations with Pure Culligan Water at every marathon station; several stations also provide energy gels, GU, Gatorade, fresh bananas and basic first aid supplies.
Gear drop and clothing drop services are available and clothing can be returned or mailed for a fee. A 6 hour 20 minute time limit applies to the marathon.
