Top of Utah Half Marathon : Providence, Utah
The Top of Utah Half Marathon is a 21.1 km road race held on August 22, 2026. The out-and-down course begins seven miles up Blacksmith Fork Canyon at the Hyrum Electrical Plant and finishes at Providence Zollinger Park. The route runs along the canyon with the river alongside much of the course.
The canyon presents contrasting terrain and vegetation: the north side is described as dry and more desert-like, while the south side is greener with large pine stands. The course also passes notable rock formations and varied canyon scenery. Aid stations are placed about every 3 miles along the route.
The event is part of the USATF Utah Road Racing Circuit and serves as the Championship Race for Utah. The course is open for 3.5 hours. Wheelchair and hand-cycle divisions are offered, and walkers are accommodated.
All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Prize drawings take place during the awards ceremony, where multiple prizes are distributed. The race organization acknowledges sponsors and community volunteers who assist on course and at event locations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
