Event overview
Top Of The World Ultra is a trail running event hosted by Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc. at Sun Peaks Resort, Sun Peaks, BC. The local event takes place in the Main Village at Sun Peaks on June 27, 2026, and supports the Sun Peaks Mountain Rescue Society. Registration is limited to 400 participants. The event offers in-person and virtual options; virtual entrants receive a mailed event package and the same basic finishers items.

All routes start and finish at Sun Peaks Main Village (base of the Sunburst Express chair lift). Courses use single-track trails, technical ascents and descents, mountain bike trails, forest service roads, meadows and forest. The 50 km route crosses the three Sun Peaks mountains and passes Mount Tod (summit listed at 2130 m), Orient Hill, Little McGillivray Lake and Mount Morrisey. Reported ascent values for the shorter routes are 1164 m (28 km) and 673 m (15 km).
Aid stations and support: aid stations are provided on all courses (locations vary by distance), selected water stations are on course, and finishers receive a medal and a custom finishers cup. Timing is recorded via a timing app and results are shared after the event. The event is cupless; participants must bring a reusable cup. Drop bags are allowed for 50 km runners at Aid Station #2 (about 27 km). Recommended gear includes trail running shoes and a hydration pack able to carry at least 1 litre of water; poles are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
