Event Information
The Top Of The World Ultra is a trail running event held at Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia, Canada. The event offers three distances: 50 km, 28 km, and 15 km. It is hosted by Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc. and takes place on June 27, 2026.
The Course
The start and finish line is in the Main Village at the base of the Sunburst Express Chair Lift. The courses feature technical trails, mountain bike trails, forest service roads, and descents, showcasing the Sun Peaks ski area.
The 50 km route winds across all three mountains in Sun Peaks, with a total of 1752 meters of elevation gain and loss. The 28 km route climbs to the top of Mount Tod (summit at 2130m), featuring 1164 meters of elevation change. The 15 km route ascends to the top of the Sunburst Express, with 673 meters of elevation gain and loss.
Registration and Practical Details
Registration is limited to 400 participants. The event includes a bib number, a finisher medal, a custom finisher cup, finish line food, and aid stations. Each registration includes a CAD $5 donation to the Sun Peaks Mountain Rescue Society. Virtual run options are also available.
This is a cupless event; participants must carry their own reusable cup. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in each category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
