Top Of The World Ultra at Sun Peaks Resort
Top Of The World Ultra is a trail running event organized by Run Like A Girl Adventures Inc. at Sun Peaks Resort, Sun Peaks, British Columbia, Canada. The start and finish are in the Main Village at the base of the Sunburst Express chair lift. Routes use single track, mountain bike trails, forest service roads, meadows and forests.
Distances available:
- 50 km - 1752 m elevation change; crosses all three Sun Peaks mountains.
- 28 km - 1164 m elevation change; reaches the summit of Mount Tod.
- 15 km - 673 m elevation change; climbs to the top of the Sunburst Express.
On-site registration includes a bib, a finisher medal and a custom finisher cup. Local registration includes a CA$5 donation to the Sun Peaks Mountain Rescue Society. A virtual option is available with the event package mailed to participants. The field is limited to 400 participants.
Aid station details: the 50 km course has three aid stations and two water stations; the 28 km course has two aid stations; the 15 km course has one aid station. The event is cupless so participants must carry a reusable cup. The 50 km allows one drop bag to Aid Station #2 at about 27 km. Recommended gear includes trail running shoes and a hydration pack able to carry at least one litre; poles are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
