Tonbridge Triathlon
Tonbridge Triathlon takes place on Monday 3rd May 2027 at Tonbridge School Centre, London Road, Tonbridge TN10 3AD. The event uses the school sports centre pool for the swim leg with controlled lanes and seeded starts. The registration point is signposted in the sports centre.
The event offers multiple formats and distances. The main formats listed are Sprint triathlon, Standard triathlon, Aqua Bike, Aquathlon, and team relays with two or three members per team. Distances include:
- Swim: Sprint 400 m, Standard 800 m, in a 25 m heated pool
- Bike: Sprint 25 km, Standard 50 km
- Run: Sprint 5 km, Standard 10 km
The bike course is described as a 25 km route completed once for Sprint and twice for Standard. The run is mixed terrain with modest slopes; the finish is on three quarters of an athletics track where competitors collect their medal. Transition is treated as the fourth discipline and practical tips for racking and layout are provided to help competitors prepare.
Participation requires a race licence. Competitors may purchase a single use Race Pass when registering through the event registration system or join as an annual member of the national federation. There is no competitor parking on site; designated town centre car parks are used and the nearest is approximately a ten minute walk from the venue.
