Event Overview
The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile is a community running event held at James Day Park (Nike Park) in Parma, Ohio. This event honors a veteran track and cross-country coach who served for over twenty years at Alliance High School and Valley Forge High School. Proceeds from the race contribute to a scholarship fund for senior track or cross-country runners within the Parma City School District.

- 5K (including a Scholastic Division for ages 5-18)
- 1 Mile
- Combo 1 Mile and 5K
- Virtual 5K
Course Details and Features
Both the 5K and 1 Mile events are chip-timed. For those participating in the 5K, the course includes split points at every mile and supports live participant tracking through a mobile application. The 1 Mile course includes a split point at the half-mile mark. Participants choosing the combo category will have their times from both distances added together for a final ranking.
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a custom finisher medal, a T-shirt while supplies last, and sample products. Following the run, ice cream is provided to all participants at the finish line.
