Tom Brennan Memorial 5K
The Tom Brennan Memorial 5 km takes place in Phoenix Park on January 1, 2027. The event is hosted by Liffey Valley AC and holds a permit, cert. no: 26/240. The race starts and finishes on Furze Road, past the Eagle Monument on Chesterfield Avenue.
The course is described as flat and fast and uses chip timing from start to finish. All finishers receive a bespoke bobble hat. The event is part of the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge. The minimum age for entry is 13 years.
Entry fee is €28.50. Online ticket sales are available between September 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026. Numbers are chipped and posted; there are no registrations on the day.
Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women, with a bonus prize of €200 for the first man or first woman if the course record is broken. Team prizes are awarded to the first three men's and women's teams (three to score). Veteran categories are O/35, O/40, O/45, O/50, O/55, O/60, O/65, O/70 and O/75 with a minimum of three entrants per age group required for a prize.
