Tom Brennan Memorial 5K - Phoenix Park, 1 January 2027

The Tom Brennan Memorial 5K is a certified road race held in Phoenix Park with permit number 26/240. The course runs on Furze Road, passing the Eagle Monument on Chesterfield Avenue, and is described as a flat, fast, PB-friendly route. The event is hosted by Liffey Valley AC and is part of the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge.

Chip timing is used for start-to-finish results and chipped race numbers are posted to entrants. All finishers receive a bespoke bobble hat. Online entry is stated at €28.50 and there are no registrations on the day. The minimum age to enter is 13 years.

Prize categories include first three men and first three women, a bonus prize of €200 for the first man and first woman should the course record be broken, first junior man and woman, and team prizes for the first three men's and women's teams with three to score. Veteran categories are listed for O/35 through O/70. A minimum of three entrants per age group is required for a prize to be awarded.
