Tom Brennan Memorial 5K 2027
The Tom Brennan Memorial 5K takes place on January 1, 2027, in Phoenix Park and is organised by Liffey Valley AC. A permit has been approved, certificate number 26/240.
The course is described as flat and fast and is run on Furze Road, passing the Eagle Monument on Chesterfield Avenue. The race uses chip timing and chipped race numbers are posted to entrants; there are no registrations on the day.
Entry fee is €28.50. All finishers receive a bespoke bobble hat. Minimum age for entry is 13 years. The event forms part of the Lord Mayor’s 5 Alive Challenge.
Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women, with a bonus €200 prize for the first man and first woman if the course record is broken. Team prizes are awarded to the first three men’s and women’s teams with three to score. Veteran categories are O/35, O/40, O/45, O/50, O/55, O/60, O/65, O/70 and O/75; a minimum of three entrants per age group is required for a prize to be awarded.
