Tiree 10k & Half Marathon
The Tiree 10k & Half Marathon is an annual road race held on the Hebridean island of Tiree on 02 May 2026. The event highlights the island setting and coastal environment, with the course described as the East end course, running onto the beach as part of the finish sequence. Visiting runners and local residents are both welcome; past participants have travelled from countries including Slovakia, Spain, Brazil, Canada, Germany and Australia.
Both distances start together and follow the same East end route. The 10k is one lap; the half marathon is two laps with a turnaround on the route before the second lap. An evening ceilidh and prizegiving take place after the races, with prizes for top overall results, age groups, teams and some spot prizes. Sign-in and number collection are held at The Lodge Hotel and the evening dance is at An Talla community hall in Crossapol.
Entry information notes that the first round of entries filled quickly and the event is currently operating a waiting list. A transfer window in January allocates places on 25 January; after that the event is closed for further entries or transfers, including deferals. Entry fees are non-refundable and the service fee is 4% (minimum 50p). Standard entry prices listed are £30 for the 10k and £40 for the half marathon. The event is also part of a tri-island challenge linking Mull, Coll and Tiree. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
