Tiree Ultramarathon

Set on the Hebridean island of Tiree, the Tiree Ultramarathon is a 35-mile coastal circuit around the island, visiting about 14 beaches. Runners follow a coastal route anti-clockwise with the sea on their right, navigating via checkpoints and arrows guided by an on-site team. The course traverses firm sandy beaches, gravel tracks, grassy dunes, sheep tracks, bogs and rocky outcrops, with some gentle hills and outstanding Hebridean scenery.

The start and finish are at Gott Bay, near The Lodge Hotel, which hosts race HQ. Entrants can race solo or in 2- or 4-person relays; entry includes a map, medal, tech t-shirt and goodie bag, with a prize giving and island ceilidh on Sunday, and a 10-hour cut-off. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
