Tionesta Lions Club "AMERICA 250" 5K
The event is the inaugural Tionesta Lions Club America 250 5K held at the Tionesta Lighthouse on Lighthouse Island along the Allegheny River. The in-person program includes a 5K run and a 5K walk, and there is a virtual 5K option with race packets mailed to virtual-only registrants.

The course uses two loops around the lighthouse path and nearby residential roads, extending to the riverside cemetery and returning to the lighthouse to finish. Portions of the route run on town streets that will remain open to traffic but will be monitored by the Sheriff’s Office and race volunteers. Walkers start a couple minutes after runners.
Registration for in-person entries opens January 1 and closes July 10 with a listed fee of $25. Virtual registration opens January 1 and closes June 30 with a listed fee of $35. Race shirts must be ordered by June 1; shirts will not be available after that date. Water and snacks are provided after the event.
Awards are given for the 5K run and 5K walk with overall and age-group placements by gender. Additional rules note no duplicate awards, winners must complete the race under their own power, awards will not be mailed, and winners must be present.
