TinMan JHB : Prime View, Olifantsfontein

TinMan Joburg is a multisport event held at Prime View, Olifantsfontein, Midrand, Gauteng. It is one of six events in the 2027 TinMan series at the same venue, with dates throughout the year.

Races include a range of triathlon and duathlon distances with age minimums and time cutoffs specified for some categories:

Mini Tri Individual 200 m swim / 6 km cycle / 2.5 km run : 8 years up
Super Sprint Triathlon 400 m swim / 10 km cycle / 2.5 km run : 12 years up
Sprint Individual / Relay 750 m swim / 20 km cycle / 5 km run : 16 years up, cut off 2 hrs 45
Sprint Duathlon 5 km run / 20 km cycle / 2.5 km run : 16 years up, 3 hr cut off
Challenge Tri / Relay 1.2 km swim / 40 km cycle / 10 km run : 18 years up, cut off 3 hr 50

Swimming takes place in the dam, cycling is on closed roads, and running is offroad on gravel roads. The event operates under Triathlon South Africa rules; athletes must hold an annual TSA licence or purchase a temporary day licence for the event.

Included for entrants are a race pair of SOX, timing chip and race number, medical assistance and safety officer, swim lifeguards and run marshals, finishers medal, ice cold aQuelle at the finish, lucky-draw prizes and top-three prizes for male and female categories.
