TinMan JHB

TinMan Joburg is a multisport series held at Prime View, Olifantsfontein, Midrand, Gauteng. The 2026 series includes five race days on 1 February, 12 April, 30 August, 11 October and 29 November.

Available event formats and distances:

Mini Triathlon: 200 m swim, 5 km cycle, 2.5 km run
Super Sprint Triathlon: 400 m swim, 12 km cycle, 2.5 km run
Sprint Triathlon / Relay: 750 m swim, 22 km cycle, 5 km run
Sprint Duathlon: 5 km run, 22 km cycle, 2.5 km run
Challenge Triathlon / Relay: 1.2 km swim, 40 km cycle, 10 km run

Minimum ages range from 8 years for the Mini Tri to 18 years for the Challenge distance. Swimming takes place in the dam, cycling on closed public roads, and running on offroad gravel roads. Bike and run route maps are provided by the organiser.

Entries use an online portal that closes the Thursday prior to each event at midnight; race-day registration is available at Prime View on the morning of the event. All athletes must hold an annual Triathlon SA licence or purchase a temporary day licence for the event. Race services include timing chip and number, medical cover, swim lifeguards and run marshals, full road closure for the bike leg, finishers medals, and on-course safety support.
