About the race
TinMan Joburg #5 is a multisport race day at Prime View, Olifantsfontein, Gauteng, organised by DELTA SPORT on 29 November 2026. The event offers multiple triathlon and duathlon classes with specified minimum ages and entry fees.
Racing takes place with a swim in the dam, cycling on closed public roads, and running offroad on gravel roads. Race services include timing chip and race number, medical assistance, swim lifeguards, run marshals, full road closure for the bike leg, finishers medals, and on-site hydration at the finish. Events are held under Triathlon SA rules and competitors must hold an annual TSA licence or purchase a temporary day licence.
Available event distances:
- Mini Tri: 200 m swim / 5–6 km cycle / 2.5 km run (minimum age 8)
- Super Sprint Tri: 400 m swim / 10–12 km cycle / 2.5 km run (minimum age 12)
- Sprint Tri / Relay: 750 m swim / 20–22 km cycle / 5 km run (minimum age 16)
- Sprint Duathlon: 5 km run / 20–22 km cycle / 2.5 km run (minimum age 16)
- Challenge Tri / Relay: 1.2 km swim / 32–40 km cycle / 10 km run (minimum age 17)
