Hometown Half Marathon and 5K/10K - Austin
The Hometown event in Austin on May 15, 2027 brings multiple race options, in-person and virtual, across distances for children and adults. Race types listed for the day include:

Race entries typically include a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Chip timing with live results and awards is provided for timed events. The half marathon has pacers. Free event photos are available and there are treats at the finish line. The virtual option ships a packet after the event that includes a digital bib, event shirt, and medal; participants can upload times and photos to the results and photos pages.
A youth pricing note applies to the 5K and 10K: registrants aged 12 and under are priced at $17. Many event registrations open on November 10, 2025; the Running Buddy option opened earlier. The Running Buddy Half Marathon requires prior application and approval. Volunteer Then Run participants are asked to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup to assist before running.
