Timberman Triathlon
The Timberman Triathlon takes place at Sugar Lake Lodge in Cohasset, Minnesota on July 11, 2026. The event offers three race formats with swim, bike, and run legs over measured distances on natural and paved surfaces.
The swim is held in Sugar Lake. The bike courses use rural county roads, most newly paved. The run course is relatively flat, passing through the resort and continuing out-and-back on pavement with some gravel on the Olympic course.
Race distances:
- Olympic: 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6 mile run
- Sprint: 1/3 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 3 mile run
- Super Sprint: 0.15 mile swim, 5.5 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
Teams of two or three people may enter the Olympic and Sprint races; the Super Sprint is for individuals only.
Timing is conducted by Pickle Events; the race is chip timed and full split results are posted by the timing provider. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and requires each participant to provide an annual USAT membership or purchase a one-day license. All USAT competitive rules will be enforced.
Awards are given to 1st through 3rd places in all age groups for Olympic and Sprint individuals, with team awards for first place in men’s, women’s, and coed divisions. Super Sprint awards are medals for the top five overall male and female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
