Timberman Triathlon - Cohasset, MN
Timberman Triathlon takes place at Sugar Lake Lodge in Cohasset, Minnesota on July 11, 2026. The event offers multiple race formats on the same day and is held at a single venue with swim, bike, and run segments.
Race formats include:
- Olympic: 1 mile swim (1760 yards), 25 mile bike, 6 mile run
- Sprint: 1/3 mile swim (587 yards), 11 mile bike, 3 mile run
- Super Sprint: 0.15 mile swim (264 yards), 5.5 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
Teams of two or three may enter the Olympic and Sprint races; the Super Sprint is for individuals only. The swim takes place in Sugar Lake. The bike routes use rural county roads, many newly paved. The run course is mostly pavement with some gravel on the Olympic route and follows an out-and-back layout through the resort to the finish.
Timing is provided by Pickle Events; the race is chip timed and full split results are posted online. The Timberman Triathlon is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must hold an annual USAT membership or purchase a one-day license. Age groups follow USAT categories and race age corresponds to age on December 31, 2026.
Awards are given for Olympic and Sprint individuals (1st–3rd in age groups) and for winning relay team members; Super Sprint awards are medals for the top five overall male and female finishers.
