Event details
The Timberline Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on June 6-7, 2026 in Government Camp, Oregon. The event is held at Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station at Timothy Lake. Registration opens August 1, 2025. Entry fees listed for 2026 are $65 for the marathon, $65 for the half marathon on Saturday, and $55 for the half marathon on Sunday. Prices increase after February 28, 2026. The race is organized by Cascadia Sports Timing, LLC and operates under a special uses permit with the Mt. Hood National Forest.

Course and race features
The course circles Timothy Lake on single-track trails and sits at about 3,227 feet in the high Cascades. The route begins at the Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station and crosses three rustic bridges over tributaries that flow into the lake. The course offers views of Mt. Hood across the water. Registered participants receive finisher medals and gender-specific technical shirts.
Teams of four or more can register under a common team name. Each team member receives a $5 entry fee refund once the fourth person registers. Teams with four or more members receive custom bibs with the team name if registered on or before May 1, 2026. Team members must register for an event on the same day; on Saturday, members may choose either the marathon or the half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
