Event overview
Timber24 is a 24-hour trail running festival held at Hardwood Ski and Bike in Oro Medonte, Barrie, Ontario on August 22-23, 2026. The event combines lap-style trail running with an on-site camping village, retail and expo area, 24-hour food and beverage service, outdoor movies, games and campfires. A beer garden operates on Saturday evening and after the race.
Race format and distances
Teams run in a relay format. Teams are composed of either eight runners or four runners (ultra). Each team collectively runs 192 km. One team member begins an 8 km lap each hour for 24 hours, so the team completes 24 laps in total.
On-site services and facilities
A tent village allows teams to move in beginning Friday afternoon and set up their space. A Physio/Massage village offers 15-minute treatments by registered massage therapists or physiotherapists; participants sign up for time slots in person. The retail store is open during the event and sells essentials and event merchandise. Free coffee and hot chocolate are available in the mornings, and food service is available around the clock.
