Tilston 10k
Tilston 10k is a rural 10 km road race held on quiet country lanes in Tilston on Sunday 28 June 2026. The event raises funds for the Tilston Playing Field Association; all proceeds support the playing field, its play equipment and pump track used by local children.
Event registration and the finish are at Tilston Playing Field, where toilet facilities, the field and children's play equipment are available. The route uses fully closed rural lanes and is fully signed and marshalled. The event offers chip timing, first aid cover, medals and refreshments at the finish. Race records were reset in 2025 after a slight alteration of the start line following official course measurement.
There is a limit of 300 runners and no cut off times. Trophies are awarded for first overall and first female plus several category trophies including first-time runners, Tilston residents, under 20s, and age-group categories over 40, 50 and 60. Children's races take place on fully closed roads before the adult race and are entry on the day with a medal and treat for each participant.
Entry fees listed are an early-bird rate of £18, rising to £20 from 1 June, with a discounted £15 rate for runners aged 15 to 19 on race day. The event is kindly sponsored by Club Control and Whitchurch Sports Equipment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
