About the race
Thunder Mountain 10 mile Challenge takes place on October 17, 2026 at Fort Huachuca. The event is described as Fort Huachuca’s version of the Army 10 Miler and is held at the Apache Flats PT Area in Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613.
Participants may enter as individuals or form teams. Registered runners will receive a commemorative T-shirt. The top three finishers in each category will be recognized. Registration closes at close of business on October 14, 2026.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for October 16 at Barnes Field House. The event takes place on the military installation; entry requires an installation access pass obtained in advance at the visitor center located at Van Deman Gate. The visitor center operates Monday - Friday 0530-1730.
