Three Capes Marathon Relay
The Three Capes Marathon Relay is a marathon-distance event following the Three Capes Scenic Loop on the North Oregon Coast, from Cape Meares to Pacific City. Participants can register as a solo runner, on a two-person team, or on a five-person team. Team categories include Family, Business, School, and Clydesdale.
The full marathon course is 26.2 miles long and features roughly 2,400 feet of total climb. It is divided into five legs, each with a specific distance and difficulty rating.
- Leg 1: 4.47 miles, rated very difficult.
- Leg 2: 5.44 miles, rated difficult.
- Leg 3: 5.02 miles, rated extremely difficult.
- Leg 4: 4.25 miles, rated easy.
- Leg 5: approximately 4.39–4.45 miles, rated easy.
Packet pickup and late registration is scheduled for February 27. The event is organized by the non-profit Ultimook, with proceeds benefiting youth running programs in the Pacific Northwest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
