About the race
The Thorpe Park Sprint Triathlon on 15 August 2027 is a sprint-distance multisport event held at Thorpe Park, Chertsey. The route begins with an open-water swim in Fleet Lake, completes a flat bike leg on open roads outside the park, and finishes with a run on internal park roads. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and the course is supported by marshals.
Distances:
- 750 m open-water swim, one buoy-marked lap
- 20 km bike on flat roads
- 5 km run on smooth internal park roads
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a secure bag-drop marquee. Every entry also includes free admission to Thorpe Park Resort. The event partners with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Facilities at the event village include race pack collection, toilets and refreshments with water supplied on the run and at the finish. Costa Coffee will be available inside the Dome for hot drinks and light snacks. Parking is available at the Thorpe Park car park within walking distance of the event village.
Spectators are welcome but are only permitted to watch the swim start and the run finish; a dedicated spectator zone is advised for the remainder of the event. The event is not suitable or safe for wheelchair athletes or buggy runners, and dogs are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
