Event details
The York 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run takes place at York Racecourse on 22 February 2026. Distances offered include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
Entry fees shown are £25 for the 5k and 10k, and £30 for the half marathon. Online entries close on 14 February 2026 unless the event sells out. The event supports the charity Shelter; fundraising is optional and there is no minimum fundraising target.
The event uses chip-on-bib timing and provides a medal for finishers and trophies for some winners. Instant results are published via Results Base. The event is not UK Athletics affiliated, so results will not appear on external UKA-listed sites. Race packs are collected on the morning of the event.
Course, access and on-site facilities
The course is mostly on tarmac with sections of trail and some muddy parts. It is described as flat with a few undulating sections. The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps, and the half marathon includes an initial 1.1 km out-and-back followed by four full laps. The course is not suitable for wheelchair users; off-road running buggies are permitted. Dogs are allowed on short leads.
Water is provided in cups at the start, finish and at the 5k point for 10k runners. Marshals will be positioned around the course. Access notes: the recommended race-day route uses the A64, free car parking is available at the racecourse, and a shuttle bus links York Station to the venue with a return fare of £3.
