The YEG Traverse 2026
The YEG Traverse 2026 is a choose your own trail race through Edmonton’s river valley in Edmonton, AB, Canada. The route begins on the bridge underneath the Anthony Henday near Cameron Heights, follows the entire river valley, and finishes on the bridge underneath the Anthony Henday where it crosses the river in the northeast.
Participants select trails within the valley to complete the route. The event can be completed solo or as a team of two, with a transition area provided halfway for teams.
A new Half Traverse option is available for those who want to run only one half of the course. Runners entered in the Half Traverse will begin the second half of the route at the aid station managed by River Valley Adventure Co.
Organizers describe the event as an Edmonton race for Edmonton runners and note support from local favorites. Registration is offered separately for the full Traverse and the Half Traverse and spots are limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
