The YEG Traverse is a trail race that runs through Edmonton's river valley. The route begins on the bridge underneath the Anthony Henday near Cameron Heights and finishes on the bridge underneath the Anthony Henday where it crosses the river in the northeast. The event is a choose your own trail format on urban and riverside trails. It can be completed solo or as a team of two, with a transition area located halfway through the course. A new option called the Half Traverse covers only the second half of the route; participants in that category start from the aid station at River Valley Adventure Co.
