About the race
The Wolds Farm Loop is a six hour looped trail event held in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Participants run repeated circuits of an approximate 5.45 km loop that includes about 71 metres of elevation. Runners may complete as many laps as they choose within the six hour period, with distances ranging from a single loop to Marathon or ultra distances depending on how many laps are completed.
The course passes through rolling open fields, off-road farm tracks, quiet stretches of tarmac, and ancient woodland valleys. A single aid station is located at the start and finish area known as The Shop and is stocked with real food such as jelly babies, fudge, cake, and cheese straws. Competitors may leave labelled personal nutrition at the aid station.
Attendees must bring their own cup or bottle for drinks because event organisers do not provide disposable cups or bottles. Parking is limited and available at two locations approximately 200 m and 400 m from the event area; detailed directions will be provided closer to the date. A bag drop area or shelter may be provided but belongings are left at the owner’s discretion. Dogs are not permitted. A custom medal and goody bag are awarded to anyone who completes at least one lap. Minimum age to enter is 18 and the published entry fee is £25.
