Event overview
The WMD Triathlon is organised by Bustinskin Triathlon Club at Weymouth College, Cranford Avenue, Weymouth (DT4 7SW). The event includes three separate races: Sprint, Classic and Middle distance. The swim is an open water sea swim in Weymouth Bay on a one-loop course around marker buoys. Safety craft and lifeguards will be in position and may remove any competitor judged to be in danger. The bike routes are described as rolling and fast, with the middle distance using mainly long, relatively flat roads. The run uses Lodmoor nature reserve and Weymouth town, with the finish in the Weymouth College car park at the rear of Lodmoor Country Park. Hydration stations are provided at roughly every 2 to 3 miles on the run.
